Ready to Move Homes
What is a Ready to Move Home?
Just a house that was built elsewhere and moved to site.
True RTM's look like a house ...not a trailer.
How do you know if you want a Ready to Move Home?
It is simple if you ask yourself a few questions...
1.
How accessible is your lot, do you have low overhead wires on the highway to your site, are there big trees?
2. Are RTM's allowed in your development?
There is still a lot of confusion between RTM's and mobile homes. RTM's are a permanent home placed on a concrete foundation. A RTM does not have to look like a mobile home it has the flexibility of a traditional built home. Most of our stock models can be made into RTM's with the caution about the height on 2 storey homes, although in most cases a crane could lift a second level onto a home on site to save on shipping costs.
3. What is the size of your home?
We usually recommend staying under 16 to 24 feet in height for the lowest transport costs. Width is not an issue in most designs as a pod can be used which is a small extension of the home to create interest. The home would be constructed in parts if it is wider and put into separate sections. This does require a second truck in some cases. The other option is to have the home built with a pop up roof so that the home is actually shorter during shipping.
The RTM's are constructed in an indoor facility. The model like the Willow Creek would be ready to ship to your site in about 30-45 days and the more complicated models are shipped in about 90 days.
The cost of the RTM is about $105 to $135 a square foot. Shipping is a hard cost to estimate without knowing the exact location as it does not go on distance but on the complication of the delivery and permits required. The RTM's are manufactured in a factory in Cardston Alberta.

designs that work well for Ready to Move Homes. These are more cost effective for moving obviously 16 ft height or less is the best for shipping and 20 ft height or less is more cost effective than over this. Call for a moving quote. Foundation not included.
